Trattoria La
Tavola, owned and managed by Rick & Krista Lopez, began as a small neighborhood
restaurant whose goal was to serve the most authentic Italian food in Central
Ohio.
'La Tavola' means
the family table in Italian and 'Trattoria' is a term for a small, family-owned
restaurant. La Tavola opened in July 1999 and serves dinner - only six
days a week tuesday through Sunday. The dining room at their current
scenic location overlooking the Scioto River seats 135 with an additional 20
seats at the full service bar. When weather permits, our garden patio is
open and can accommodate an

La Tavola's menu is un-intimidating
& accommodates most
tastes and dietary needs. There are many traditional dishes with their
Italian names such as Osso Buco, Saltimbocca, Puttanesca and Tortelloni.
The food is authentic
as well as the charm. La Tavola is a completely unpretentious restaurant
where staff and patrons know each other, families are welcome and
the atmosphere is cozy.
"Great low-priced wines, sumptuous central and
northern Italian food, and a modest setting allows generous pricing of the food"
writes Jon Christenson of The Columbus Dispatch.
That sums it up along with a five star Columbus Dispatch review
(3/2006) and recognition in
the
Zagat Survey. various Ohio magazines, as well as Columbus
Monthly's April 2006 four star rating.
Come experience our outstanding dishes for yourself and discover that Italy is indeed
just a little bit closer at La Tavola.
La Tavola
maintains a nonsmoking policy for the entire restaurant premises. However, smoking is
permitted on the outdoor patio.
